Allegedly Involved Money Laundering, President of the Parma Police Arrested

Parma - Parma tragedy rampant. Having never get out of a financial crisis that is wrapped around, now even their president, Giampietro Manenti, was arrested by the police because of money laundering cases.
As reported by Football Italia, Manenti was arrested along with 21 others on Wednesday (18/3) morning local time. They were all arrested on charges of embezzlement and money laundering cases.
Manenti, who buy Parma from Rezart Taci in February, the spotlight lately because of its inability to settle the club's debt problems and the accumulation of players and club staff salaries owed.
Captain Parma, Alessandro Lucarelli, claimed sick of seeing a spate of bad events that befell the club lately.


"This situation has become sickening joke. It's hard to play on the field, now we still have to accept another blow after blow," said Lucarelli.

Parma had twice could not compete because of not having money. They failed to hold a home match against Udinese because not afford to pay a security officer to escort the game and can only pay electric pickup for lighting field, and not able to undergo the away game against Genoa because it did not have the money to go to the headquarters of the opponent.
Already then, they still get two points reduction because of failing to pay wages in July, August, and September last year.

It was the second time this season Parma hit points deduction. In December, the number of points Parma cut one for the club based in the Ennio Tardini was troubled with taxes and player salaries.

Parma is now immersed in the bottom of Serie A with nine points. They are within 15 points of Atalanta who are in the safe zone.

"We do not know what else to say. Unfortunately, something bad happens again," said former Parma striker and coach of their youth team today, Hernan Crespo.(
