Turin - Bomber Manchester United and England's Wayne Rooney close the opportunity to play in Italy. Although, Rooney admits he often watched football matches of Serie A.
For more than a decade career as a professional player, Rooney never left the country. The first two seasons of his career, he joined Everton before joining Manchester United until now.
Not infrequently the future of Rooney speculated. Some time ago, stocky striker was heavily rumored to be approached Real Madrid but nonetheless Rooney stays with the 'Red Devils'.
Now, the 29-year-old footballer was with England to face Italy in a friendly on Wednesday (01/04/2015). Rooney has no plans to try out the Italian football.
"I never thought of playing in Italy," Rooney said at a press conference ahead of the match Italy cons English as proclaimed the Daily Express.
"I did grow up watching Italian football. There exists a lot of great teams like Juventus and AC Milan and I like to watch Fiorentina because there (Gabriel) Batistuta."
"But to be honest, I guess I'm not going to play in Italy," he added.
So far Rooney already packed 246 goals in all competitions at club level. With the Three Lions, he has won 102 caps and accounted for 47 touchdowns.(detikSport)
