London - Raheem Sterling could not strengthen the England team in a friendly match against Italy because of the injured toe. But, Sterling hope his injury is healed in next week.
Sterling contributed one goal when England beat Lithuania 4-0 in Euro 2016 qualifying match at Wembley on Friday (27/03/2015). After the match, Liverpool player to get an injection to relieve the pain in his big toe.
So that the injury is not getting worse, Sterling does not make England's group that will face Italy at Juventus Stadium on Tuesday (31/3) future. He came out of the squad along with several other players are injured as James Milner, Danny Welbeck, and Leighton Baines.
Sterling hope the injury is healed on Saturday (4/4). Energy will be needed by Liverpool, who have to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
"Hopefully, yeah. After this injection, I see how my condition in the next few days. Hopefully I will be okay for the game against Arsenal," Sterling said, quoted by Sky Sports.
"The FA and the club I had already agreed to give an injection after the game. Then I will get treatment at the club," he said.
Sterling this season has appeared in 43 games in all competitions for Liverpool. The 20-year-old players contributed 10 goals and eight assists for the Reds.(detikSport)
