David Luiz is confirmed Absent Opponent Barca


Paris - After a reportedly injured, Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz, certainly not able to play against Barcelona in the Champions League quarterfinals. While Thiago Motta will likely only be absent in the leg I.

Luiz injured when PSG deal with Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1 this weekend. Brazilian defender has pulled out when the game runs 30 minutes due to get into trouble on his left thigh. At the end of the game, Motta also experiencing the same problem.

It was bad news for PSG. Because they've been waiting for Barca in the Champions League quarterfinals. PSG will first host the first leg on April 15 before the turn of a visit to the Camp Nou on 21 April.

Luiz ultimately will certainly not be able to appear in the game because both be sidelined for four weeks. While Motta is likely to miss the first leg because it took 10 days to recover.

"There was some talk in the media in the last few hours, and I can confirm that we expect Thiago Motta absent 10 days and David Luiz four weeks," said PSG coach, Laurent Blanc, on the official club website.

"It will take time for us to overcome injury problems. However, we will play to win all our matches," he said.

In the absence of Luiz and Motta, the PSG will lose four main players in the game against Barca. Les Parisiens have lost Marco Verratti and Zlatan Ibrahimovic hit card accumulation.(detikSport)
