Manchester - Manchester City will live a life and death game against Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League last 16. Although the City is in a position wedged, Pablo Zabaleta still believe there is an opportunity for his team.
City lost 1-2 at home to Barca at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 three weeks ago. Thus, the City took the victory with two goals in the Camp Nou to turn things around.
City and Barca will duel in the second leg on Thursday (03/19/2015) pm dawn. However, the two will face each other with a capital of opposites.
Barca are in high confidence after maintaining its position at the top of La Liga by winning over Eibar. Instead, the City actually lost to Burnley and increasingly lagging behind Chelsea.
Steal victory with two goals at home to Barca certainly not going to be an easy job to force Manuel Pellegrini. However, Zabaleta believes that things can still happen in the Camp Nou.
"We will play against one of the best teams in the world. It will not be easy, but nothing is impossible in football. You have to be prepared for these moments. Things can change in a game like this," said Zabaleta as quoted Sky Sports.
"You just have to go forward to the next game and try to win. That's the football. Good match came after three days. We need a good recovery, go to Barcelona, and see what we can do. We wish we could."
"Mentally, we have to be very focused but if you look at the match Real Madrid against Schalke and the same was with Chelsea and PSG, it shows anything can happen in football," said the Argentine defender.
"That's why we have to go to Barcelona with confidence, conviction, and try to do their best to win. We've played in this competition for four years. It is a competition in which we want to make progress," he added.(detikSport)
